[wc_box color=”inverse” text_align=”center” margin_top=”” margin_bottom=”” class=””] See my craft room reveal as part of the One Room Challenge where you need to makeover one room in only 6 weeks. [/wc_box]
It’s reveal time! Can I say finally? Not that it was long, on the contrary, it went by sooo fast! But I’m so tired! Between a full-time job and some dance competitions, I thought I’d never finish in time!
For the One Room Challenge, hosted by Calling it Home, I’m giving my craft room a makeover. Or more accurately, I’m making a craft room that can be called a craft room!
I didn’t get to do everything I though, but the room looks so much better than it did! Let’s see a recap of the 6 weeks challenge:
- Week 1: The planning (I’m kinda realizing now that I have trouble planning way ahead, the inspiration sort of comes along the way!!!)
- Week 2: Upgrade of a shelf unit with old book pages
- Week 3: The new desk
- Bonus: Upholstered stool
- Week 4: Floating shelves with Osoyoos Larose’s wine crates
- Week 5: The pegboard
Craft room reveal in details
I wish I had time to do hide completely the pipe over the pegboard.
I had previously made my craft table with a masonite door and an IKEA shelf unit. You can see the complete tutorial here
During week 2, I upgraded the shelf unit that was already there when we moved in by simply adding old books pages.
I finally received the IKEA Ranarp lamp I ordered and cannot be happier about it!
Also got the new Ranarp Ceiling track. Going from one single light to these 3 made an enormous change. I can finally see what I’m doing!!!
For week 3, I got a new desk also from IKEA and made this awesome pegboard during week 5 to hide the pipe.
Once the pegboard was done, we fixed the old IKEA CD/DVD Billy shelf unit on both sides. I then made reorganization on them! I now have so much space!
Between week 3 and 4, I decided that I needed to make these stools more comfortable. I need to be honest with you, I still have one out of the two stool to upholster!
And finally, during week 4 I used wine crates from our favorite Canadian wine to make floating shelves.
Before and After
I don’t even need to write which one is before and which is after!!
Can you believe how much the room has changed? Crazy right? Hopefully, I can keep it clean like that for a little while!! 😛
