Save money by transforming your spring wreath into a fall wreath. The trick is simple and items are available in your own backyard.

This month, I'm happy to be participating in the "We are Pinnable Blog Hop". The theme is "Celebrating fall" and it means everyone's post will be on this theme. It also means you'll then be able to see what my blogger friends have posted on the same topic!

In the spring, I created a wreath for my front door. Do you remember? It had cost me less than 15 $ and I had completed it in less than 15 minutes.

I didn't use any glue. My goal was to reuse the grapevine wreath and change it with each season. Autumn is upon us (although the temperature got to 25ºC (77 ºF) this week!) and I've managed a transformation for only 1$.

How did I do that? Well, taking advantage of the field in the back of my home and shrubs around my house!

No need to go to the Dollar Store to buy pine cones, I have them directly below my balcony. Looking for cattails? find a ditch along a road and you'll find plenty.

I only bought a couple of flowers (for 1$) to make a few colors stand out in this beautiful wreath.

Again, nothing is glued!

How to do it :

Insert the smaller flowers first. I had a bunch of little seed fall off. The vacuum was needed!!

I added the biggest herbs and finally cattails. Note that an odd number is always preferable.

I inserted the purchased flowers for a touch of color and tied it off with a rope I had on hand.

For pine cones, simply insert a rope in the last row and turn the rope around. They are then easy to attach to the wreath.

And now, a beautiful bouquet!

My door is now ready for fall. And for only 1 $.

Note: if you look closely, you'll see in the reflection of the door that it's not the same season at all!!!
