Every year, it’s always the same thing in December, with the preparations for the celebrations, Christmas parties, special events at school, etc. All that jostling together in our already busy schedule. This year, I gave myself a goal to finish my Christmas shopping before the end of November. It’s a good idea, right? Are you in?
With the approach of Black Friday, I thought I’d share with you my Etsy finds. Why Etsy? Because for ordering online, we don’t have a lot of choices, we Canadians. Also, a gift made by hand is so much more valuable to me.

Home Decor
Sustain my Craft Habit is a Canadian store. They are two sisters who make objects inspired by nature. They also have an interesting blog on the same subject. This tree is made from driftwood from the banks of Lake Huron in Ontario. What a beautiful and original decoration for the holidays!
Les Loleries is a French-Canadian store where you’ll find original decor objects. I found this beautiful macrame wall hanging. The macrame is back in fashion but has a touch so much more neutral and natural than the one from our childhood!
For the little ones, I fell in love with these pillows. The shop ” The Urban Hedgehog ” creates minimalist and modern items for children. You should see their Christmas stockings .
For kids
Hattifant makes all kind of things with paper. I personally bought these Triskele paper globes that you can make yourself. My daughter loves to color them and the result is really beautiful. If you are afraid of not knowing how to assemble them, Hattifant also has a blog where you can find very detailed videos.
For women
Julie Parent-art design creates objects from her artwork (in addition to selling her original art). You can see on the main page of the store that she cuts her canvas to make jewelry. I had a soft spot for these red earrings (it must be the holiday spirit because I’m usually attracted by turquoise!)
Au Fil de Caroline sells bags of all kinds. I bought a lunch bag like this myself, but as you can probably guess it, in turquoise! The dishes fit well in it, it’s easily washable and it’s isolated. A beautiful gift for an original look.
This bag is definitely for me! “Fuelled by lattes and a dream”. The Sweetest Digs co. makes objects with quotes for women. You will surely find one that calls to you!
I classified this in the category ” for women” but I think that men also would love it! It always feels good to have a pad for the shoulders and neck. In addition, it’s beautiful. Also, if you’re looking for a gift for a pregnant woman, the Amma therapy store also has a maternity duo .
